this season of life has been so full of sweet community, deep conversation, vulnerability, unity, growth, deeper joy & resting in his beautiful presence.
i can’t begin to express how much my squad means to me. they reflect so much of the fathers heart. they choose to say “yes” again and again even when the days get hard. just to give you a little glimpse into my lovely brothers and sisters — a few weeks ago the men of our squad got up super early and made the woman breakfast (pancakes and bacon) i mean c’mon true servant hearted men right there. each morning after breakfast we huddle into a circle, give prayer requests and intercede for each other as one body in christ. worship is just amazing — i’ve noticed when my squad is worshipping each person approaches the throne room in their own unique way and it brings my heart so much joy.
okay so now that you know how cool my squad is let’s talk about miracles. yes, jesus performed many miracles in the bible like feeding the 5,000, curing the paralyzed man, calming the storm, healing the sick, walking on water etc. in our generation we don’t see that happening quite often but jesus still performs miracles today! all we have to do is invite him in and ask him to heal our wounds.
we had a session on miracles and afterwards there was an opportunity to be prayed for if you needed healing. my sweet friend kayci told us that her back had been hurting her for a long time and that she’s tried everything but nothing had helped. so a few of us sat down and began to place our hands on her back and pray for healing in jesus’ name. after we prayed we asked if it was feeling better and she said a little bit but not completely. we stood up, prayed for others within our squad asking abba to bring complete healing.
kayci started to declare things over people that the lord was placing on her heart. a little bit after i gave kayci a hug and i heard her back crack. i asked her if it was better and she said that the pain went from a seven to a zero (A ZERO). her back was in no more pain. i am still astonished to this day. he really is a God of miracles. he healed so many in the room that day. i was in complete awe because he is just that good!
exciting news! drum roll please...
we are going to LOUISIANA BABY! on saturday we get to go to dequincy, louisiana for a week and partner with samaritans purse to go and help with disaster relief there. we’ll be doing a lot of manual labor work and get to share the love of jesus to people there whose houses have been torn apart and lots have been taken away from them. i am so excited for what he’s going to do through my squad and the people that we get to minister to.
please be praying for my squad and i as we leave that our hearts would be fully open to everything he is going to do in and through us. that every person who we come in contact with would see the holy spirit in us and be touched.
thank you for supporting me by simply reading my blog. you are a blessing and i appreciate all the prayers very much.
lots of love,
lydia
