I am in awe of God's goodness and faithfulness. He never fails us and He always keeps his promises. Lately, I have been waiting patiently to get all the funds I need. I have been asking God to send people who can support me financially and prayerfully. God doesn’t always give us what we want when we want it. He knows what we need when we need it. I know I say it a lot but the Lord's timing is truly so perfect. I was talking to a guy I’m going on the race with about fundraising and how I haven’t gotten many donations recently and I was praying about it. An hour later someone donated a large amount of money and said God put it on their heart. I was in complete shock, I teared up. I am overwhelmed with God's love and graciousness. He really does work in Miraculous ways.

Fundraising is probably the hardest part but if you’re patient and wait for God to send the people, He absolutely will. Sometimes we want things to come right here, right now but God is saying “listen to me I got this”. Everything is in His hands. I’m laying down my control and giving it to the one who has full control over my life. I know with everything in me that He’s working for my good. Even when I don’t see it, He’s working. Even when I don’t feel it, He’s working. He never stops working.

This trip is going to be life changing and I will never be the same. I can’t wait to be surrounded by a community who are all after God's heart. Faithfully stepping out of the comfort of where we are now and abandoning everything for the Kingdom sake. I’m praying for each person in my squad that God is preparing them mentally, spiritually, and physically for everything we will be doing. It’s going to be difficult at times being surrounded by people 24/7 (especially since i’m an introvert) but It’s going to be sooo worth it! God is going to move in each of our hearts and reveal things to us like never before. If we lay everything at His feet and surrender it all to Him, He will work mightily through each of us.

UPDATE: I have $4,512 and I need $5,000 by training camp which is in July. I’m getting so close! I still need $11,288 to go and the good Lord is providing day by day! Thank you all so very much for praying and supporting me through this. I am blown away by your generosity. I wouldn’t be where I am right now without you guys. I am beyond blessed to even have this amazing opportunity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

1 Chronicles 16:34

Lots of love,

Lydia
