oh hey!

i wanted to get on here and share with you what has been going on in costa rica this past week. we got the opportunity to build this sweet woman a house. so manual labor is usually not my most fav but i had so much joy building this house. it was such a gift to be the hands & feet of jesus in this way. this woman is in her eightys and hasn’t lived in an actual house. the first day we started with the foundation which was filling in all the concrete. this house has reminded me of the firm foundation we stand on in christ.

luke 6:46-49 says

“why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, i will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. but the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. when the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

??

we dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. it cannot be shaken. abba is our rock and firm foundation. in him we are strengthened and secure. he is our shelter and safe place. we cannot be shaken when we are standing on the firm foundation.

i pray that everyone who enters the doors of this house would feel the presence of holy spirit. that they would be reminded that God is there shelter & safe place. the storm may come, the wind may blow but nothing can shake when it is built on the rock, the firm foundation.

all my love,

  1. what an amazing gift y’all were able to give to this woman and her family! the pics y’all are posting of the house are amazing!

  2. I am glad you got to build a firm foundation for the eighty year old lady. Working in concrete is truly something I can not picture you doing. Neither can I picture you swimming in an ocean with out seeing the bottom. Thrilled you saw Jesus’ out there. Your experiences are amazing. Can not wait to see you and hear all about your trip first hand! Love You, Grammy
