hey y’all,

I am beyond excited to announce I will be going on The World Race Gap Year of September 2020 through May 2021. I will be going to Guatemala, Ecuador and Nepal for nine months to spread the love of Jesus! As I am there we will be working with kids ministries, youth ministries, feeding programs, teaching English and Evangelizing. God has been so good to me, He has opened doors I never thought I would go through. I am so excited for what He has in store.

You might be wondering why I am going on The World Race. Well, I am here to tell you! I have always loved serving people and doing anything I can to make others around me feel loved. Ever since I went to the Dominican Republic in 2018 my heart has been set on missions. I felt the presence of Jesus like never before and I knew He had more in store for me beyond what I could ever imagine. God has called me to step out of my comfort zone and GO (Matthew 28:19). Go and spread His love and do amazing works for His kingdom.

A few months ago a dear friend of mine reached out to me and told me she was going on The World Race, before that I hadn't even heard about it. I thought that it would be so cool but I wrestled with the thought of leaving my family and friends for nine months and I thought I would never be able to get $15,800 to go. God kept tugging on my heart as I waited, thought about it and prayed. I kept asking God to reveal to me the plans He had for me. I was waiting for God to tell me what to do next when really He was just waiting on me.

Little did I know the plans He had for me were right in front of my face and I just needed to say "Yes" to His calling. I finally came to the realization that this was my calling and I needed to stop holding back. I applied and got accepted and I knew right when I got accepted that this was it. God has been so patient and gracious with me through this season. It has been a struggle but He is just preparing me for what He has prepared for me. I am so excited to see how He is going to move through me.

As I prepare I need you to support me whether that be prayerfully or financially. I know that where God has called me to He will provide. I will be doing lots of fundraisers so there will be opportunities for you to donate. If you feel called you can donate by clicking the orange donate button on my blog. I appreciate all the love and support. God is good! Click the subscribe button to be emailed every time I post a new blog. Thank you so much!

"And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Lots of love,

Lydia
