hey friends! i have an update to share with y’all!

sooo we just received an email from our amazing advisor MACK! we will be staying in Gainesville, GA for four months before we launch due to countries being closed and other unknowns. the world race staff has put lots of time, effort and prayer into making this decision. I am so thankful for their leadership and how well they are handling this situation because it’s in none of their control. they have never dealt with anything like this before so shoutout to the amazing WR staff!! y’all are killing it!!

i know there is a lot of uncertainty in this season and what we expected to happen is no longer happening. the Lord wasn’t surprised by any of this, he knew this would happen all along. the Lord placed the word “surrender” on my heart and I think this is a time we need to surrender it all to him. our expectations of what we thought would happen and thinking we have control over our lives. even though the race isn’t what we thought it would look like we still get to go love people, serve people and grow closer in God and community. our plans might’ve changed but Gods love doesn’t change and His plans don’t change.

i’m looking forward to what God has in store for each one of us going on the race. we may be disappointed that we can’t launch right away in September but I think it will be a great opportunity to grow closer in community with our squad before we launch to the field. and I’m super excited about doing outreach in Georgia! even though I don’t know what tomorrow will look like, I have a God that sure does and He’s never gonna let me down.

i ask that you would pray for my squad and i as this is pretty big news for all of us. I know everyone is having different emotions about it. I pray that the Lord would soften each heart and tear down all of our walls. and that we would live in whole-hearted surrender to him. I know he’s got big things in store and we can’t back out now when we’ve already said YES! as Elijah McGrail said “this dog don’t back down.” so here’s to furthering Gods kingdom in Georgia and the rest of the world with some pretty cool people. love YOU gap C!

  5. Love this perspective! Sometimes we find in life that surrendering to God is hard and difficult but he always seems to do the impossible. We then find ourselves on the other side of difficulty surrounded by life and resurrection! Excited to be meet you in person when the time to go to Gainesville comes!
